Tubular (Tuberous) Breast Surgery
Tubular or tuberous breast deformity is a congenital shape abnormality caused by incomplete normal breast development.
This condition may be accompanied by a narrow breast base, enlarged nipple, widely spaced breasts, and a high-positioned inframammary fold. It is more common in women but can also be seen in men.
This deformity can cause noticeable breast asymmetry and significant negative effects on body image. Tubular breast surgery is entirely personalized according to the degree of deformity. During the operation, breast tissue is reshaped, and if necessary, silicone implants are used to balance breast volume. It can be combined with breast lift or reduction procedures.
Performed under general anesthesia, the surgery typically lasts about 2–3 hours. Patients usually stay in the hospital for 1 day and can return to daily life within a few days. Wearing a surgical bra and attending follow-up appointments support the healing process.
Treatment of tubular breasts is not only an aesthetic change but also an important corrective procedure that boosts self-confidence and restores body integrity.
